Minecraft server setup

Connect

Use the IP shown in the panel, for example play.example.net:25565. If you have a dedicated IP, the port stays the default 25565.

Change the version

1. 1Open the panel via MANAGE
2. 2Go to Startup
3. 3Change the Server jar / version variable
4. 4Reinstall from Settings → Reinstall server

Install plugins

Drop .jar files into the plugins/ folder in the File Manager, then restart. For mods, use the mods/ folder with a Forge or Fabric egg.

Modpacks

Upload the server pack zip into the root folder, unarchive it, and set the startup jar to the pack's launcher jar. Give heavy packs at least 6 GB RAM.

Backups

Create a snapshot from the Backups tab before any major change.
